Tracy Norcross Tyson, MA, LLPC

Hi there, I’m Tracy. I am a Professional Counselor in Grand Rapids, MI. Most of my life has been spent in Michigan, but you will probably hear some “Wisconsin-twang” come out in my voice from time to time. Spending time with my dog Murphy and relaxing outside are some of my favorite things to do.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Gender & Health from the University of Michigan. After spending a quite a few years volunteering with MomsBloom and Sisters in Support in Grand Rapids, I realized that I wanted to be able to help new mothers in a more meaningful way. As a result, I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern University with a focus on Child and Adolescent Development. Through this program and my internship, my passion of working with folks going through all sorts of life transitions grew.

Counseling has been and continues to be a tool that has helped me through many transitions in my own life. My hope is that counseling also becomes a space for you to express and rediscover (or start the journey towards discovering) yourself, even when it feels too painful outside of the room. I’m also a firm believer in the relief that humor can provide us from time to time.

With some new ideas from me and your mastery of your own stories, we can define what wellness means for you and work towards you gaining wellness in your life. Be sure to email me and let’s Begin Your Journey together.
